Job Description

Salary £55k - £65K plus bonusLocation: Brinsworth, South YorkshireBenefits: Bonus (10% of base salary), £540 Car allowance or cash value, medical ins. & pensionHours: 37.5 hours per weekDuration: PermanentPertemps are working in partnership with are a Global Leader of specialist gases.This role is a busy and demanding role which requires a strong people manager, a background in Operations and someone who knows how to manage processes. Ideally you will have managed a Top tier coma site before.

  • In this role, you will manage all Cylinder Filling & Handling activities at the site ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective management of site personnel and services provided to customers both internal and external
  • You will act as the responsible site landlord, providing safe and efficient management of the site, identifying tenants and safety processes by which both parties can clarify and agree their individual responsibilities.
  • You will ensure compliance with COMAH Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Primary contact with the HSE and all external authorities and agencies, ensuring Legislative compliance always maintained
  • Provide a safe and fulfilling environment, for all employees based at the Branch.
  • Ensure current and future codes of practice and standards are applied and adhered to, whilst ensuring that all cylinder filling & handling are met consistently.
  • Ensure stock accuracy and control procedures are implemented fully, continuously seeking improvements in the Safety and efficiency of local operations through the adoption of Best Operating and Commercial Processes and through the development of the skillsand competencies of employees
  • Achieve the site productivity targets
What is required:
  • Previous Operations experience
  • Experience managing a Top Tier Coma Site- Beneficial
  • Safety Orientated
  • People Manager
  • You have a HNC or HND qualification (or commitment to complete if not already qualified)
  • NEBOSH/IOSH certificate (or equivalent) (or commitment to complete if not already qualified)
  • Furthermore, you have significant experience of cylinder filling & handling operations
  • You have good experience of people management and development
  • Experience working with recognised trade union
  • And finally, you have a knowledge of ISO9001:2008 - ISO14001 operating procedures and systems
