Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group is excited to be partnered with a global manufacturer to recruit an Operations Manager based at their South Yorkshire site. This role will be crucial to planning, delivering and controlling all production activities.Our client is a leading organisation in engineered polymer solutions, with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. As the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the smooth functioning of manufacturingto drive profitable growth and increased efficiencies.Main resonsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead a team of employees whilst promoting engagement strategies and enhancing collaboration
  • Overall plant improvement relating to key metrics including Safety, Quality, OTD, OEE and Profitability
  • Drive Manufacturing Excellence initiatives and promote continuous improvement, in line with business objectives
  • Promote a safety first culture, whilst implementing and ensuring adherence to Health & Safety procedures
  • Work closely with other teams including Finance, Purchasing and Sales to increase quality/value of raw material and manage departmental budgets
  • Effectively manage a team of Managers, Team Leaders and Operatives, conducting performance appraisals and addressing any training needs
The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
  • Proven experience in a management role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical understanding and knowledge of CNC machining (Milling, Turning and Routing)
  • Previous knowledge of Preventative Maintenance/TPM
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire, engage, and develop a high-performing team
  • Track record of successfully driving process improvements and operational excellence initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • LEAN / Six Sigma trained - certification is desired but not essential
