Job Description

Elevation have the pleasure of working with one of South Yorkshire’s leading tool manufacturing companies based in the Rotherham area, who are looking for Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their well established team!Salary: £48,000Location: RotherhamHours: Bespoke days and nights shift pattern- work 12 days out of 28!A few of the many benefits:

Duties of a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer:
  • Being proactive within the job focussing on preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance of the infrastructure from an Electrical and Mechanical aspect
  • Attending to breakdowns
  • Planned preventative maintenance will be a daily task as one of the core values of the company
  • Working within a team environment so must be a team player, but also work from own initiative when needed
  • Electrical installation of new machinery as and when needed
  • Ensure always adhering to health and safety procedures.
  • Working on a variation of machinery due to nature of business- injection moulding machines, grinders, heat treatment machines and furnaces.
  • Working from drawings both mechanical and electrical
  • Fault finding on PLC’s
  • Welding
  • Fixed wiring inspection and testing
  • Fabrication and sheet metal work
Desired experience:
  • You must have at least Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds – Apprentice trained)
  • It would be advantageous for you to have HNC and HND qualifications but not essential
  • Ideally have 3 years experience within in a multi-skilled maintenance engineer position recently
  • Must have strong mechanical knowledge but feel confident within electrical skillset also
  • Ideally have welding and fabrication experience
  • Must have worked within a manufacturing maintenance background previously
  • Ideall have PLC fault finding experience
  • Ideally have 18th edition
  • Ideally experience with similar machinery mentioned above
  • Must have the good work ethic, this company are looking for people who live to achieve
