Job Description

Marketing OfficerHours; Full time (37hrs per week, all year round) Duration; PermanentSalary; £22,213 per annum + BenefitsLocation; Dearne Valley College, RotherhamThe RoleThe main purpose of this role is to work within the Marketing and Learner Recruitment Team in the delivery of the marketing and recruitment strategy and action plan for the Group.This is an exciting time for the RNN Group with the introduction of a new Strategic Development Plan for 2025 and marketing and learner recruitment have a key role to play in working to support and deliver an increase in learner recruitment numbers across16-18 years old, degrees level students in our purpose-built University (UCR), adult learner and apprentices.Your role will involve creating and co-ordinating a number of marketing campaigns and managing short and long-term projects alongside one another. In doing so, you will be writing engaging copy for promotional materials including course guides, adverts,press releases and website content. You will take some publications and materials from concept through to completion as your own projects.You will also create a constant flow of communications onto our digital platforms (for example our websites and social media pages) and into the local media (press and radio). This could entail the coordination of media opportunities, events and liaisingwith reporters.Your role will include account management of marketing and promotion at Dearne Valley College although travel to other campus locations will be required for meetings and cross campus support. You will work in partnership with our teaching departmentsto support recruitment, and alongside colleagues in the Marketing Team, such as Graphic Designers and the Digital officers, to produce a range of digital and print media products to promote the opportunities the Group offers.You willYou will need to have a keen interest with proven experience and skills in marketing, including some success in planning and implementing marketing plans and campaigns.You will possess Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy, and a level 3 of above in a marketing or other related area. The ideal candidate will have, or be working towards a degree level qualification in digital marketing or equivalent. Department InfoYou will report to the Head of Marketing who will give you direction, but you will plan and prioritise your day-to-day workload. You will work with the Marketing Manager, Head of Marketing and members of the marketing team to ensure projects are completedto agreed timescales.Our excellent benefits and rewards package:
