Job Description

As a Machine Setter / Operator, you will be required to
  • Responsible for all aspects of the setting.
  • Although you will be part of a team, you need to be confident in working alone and using your own initiative.
  • Following all health & safety procedures and making sure they are adhered to at all times.
  • Responsible for your own machinery by doing daily and weekly checks on all machinery used.
  • Manufacture a range of products/parts to the required standards.
  • Ensuring all work produced is to the required standard by hourly visuals.
  • Carry out all duties necessary to achieve department goals, production targets and forecasts.
  • Responsible for operating various machines within the manufacturing cells including changeovers and machine conditions whilst working safely and maintaining the quality against the standards.
  • The role is physically demanding and 90% of your duties will be standing or walking most of the time.
  • Occasional use of step ladders to load materials into machines
  • Potential use of forklifts, pallet trucks, and handling equipment
Experience / Skillset required for this role
  • Previous experience in plant-operated machines such as Grinders, CNC machines, pressers and more.
  • Previous use of forklift / pallet trucks. Cranes and lifting equipment
