Learning Support Assistant with L3 BSL Specialism (2 Roles)Part time (30 hours/37 weeks)Temporary until June 2024Salary; £20,897 per annum 1 FTE (Pro-rata £14,010.98) plus extra £6.59ph when carrying out BSL duties.Location; Rotherham CollegeThe RoleWe are looking for Learning Support Assistants to work within our busy Additional Learning Support Team.In this rewarding role, you will provide in and out of class support to assist students with learning difficulties/disabilities to help them achieve their best possible outcomes. This may be supporting with personal care and/or literacy and numeracy. Therole includes providing BSL interpretation and note taking as required.You will be a key part of the Student Support team, and will assist in the planning, preparation & reviewing of learning in conjunction with relevant curriculum staff, providing feedback and carrying out reviews as appropriate to ensure students are makingexpected progress and working towards outcomes.You will have the personal skills to be able to effectively support students, dealing with challenging behaviour when it arises, and helping them to develop their own coping strategies.You will…have the personal skills and experience to be able to effectively support students, dealing with challenging behaviour when it arises, and helping them to develop their own coping strategies.
