Job Description

VAC 339Junior Logistics Co-ordinator (ManufacturingMetal / Steel making industry)Based Sheffield. Salary £18,000 - £23,000 basic (dependant on experience)26 days holiday 5% pension company contribution and Death in Service.Company:LWS Services are proud to be the chosen recruitment partner for an award-winning manufacturer of high-quality steel machinery, further expansion has created an outstanding opportunity for a Junior Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic team based in SheffieldRoleWorking within the logistics department Coordinating processes to achieve an effective distribution of goods.The ideal candidate will have knowledge of international shipping and transportation.Role & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
  • Supervise orders and arrange stocking of equipment.
  • Prepare Intrastat Reports to package labels and supporting transport documents (CMR, Bills of Lading, AWD)
  • Keeping the sales team informed of shortfalls in stock.
  • Dispatch shipping goods to customers on time and in full, keeping abreast of sales orders, shipping times, customer specific packaging requirements, ensuring the goods arrive at the customers destination in good condition.
  • Invoicing goods out
  • Keep logs and records of warehouse stock and executed orders.
  • Prepare online presentation to banks for authorisation of goods.
  • Liaising with logistic companies
    • Required Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of import / export supporting documents.
  • Worldwide shipping experience
  • A minimum of 3 years within a Logistics Coordinator position (ideally within a heavy industrial / manufacturing industry)
  • Knowledge and experience obtaining Letter of Credit.
  • IT literate with a working knowledge of logistics software
  • Organisation and the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Working to tight deadlines.
