Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Groups Skilled Shop Floor Team are delighted to be working in partnership with a Plastic Manufacturing business based within the Rotherham area. We are currently seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join their existing team. SALARY: £33,500 - £34,347WORKING HOURS: 3 shifts rotating (Monday to Friday – morning, afternoons & nights) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshooting injection moulding machines, moulds, peripherals to improve performance. Implement use of pareto data capture to better identify issues.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Organising the quality packaging operatives to achieve production requirements
  • Daily production plans, performance / handover reporting to the Production Manager
  • Maintaining quality standards and implement corrective actions in cases of non-conformance
  • Daily production plans, performance / handover reporting to the Production Manager with specific and time bound information.
  • Following lean manufacturing principles to ensure low scrap rates and waste
  • Training and developing staff in operating procedures and operation instructions.
  • Preventative maintenance of production equipment
  • Maintaining production and maintenance records for moulds both in and out of production
  • Liaising with Maintenance, Logistics, Production and Quality on a daily basis
  • Assisting with the design and debugging of new systems, moulding and automation
  • Identifying and implementing where necessary, improvements to process, quality or cost effectiveness of the moulding operation
  • Dismantling, cleaning and reassembly of moulds and moulding machines (machine screw, nozzle filters etc)
  • Performing colour changes, colour sampling and material trials
