Job Description

Warehouse Supervisor required for a successful and fast-moving warehousing, distribution and logistics business based in South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire. This role is newly created due to ongoing success and growth in their sector. This is a great opportunity for someone with ambition for becoming a Health & Safety Manager in future.The purpose of the role is to support the Group HSSE & Compliance Manager ensuring processes are in place and always adhered to, making a safe and compliant operation across 3 sites in South Yorkshire.Key responsibilities to include:

  • Carrying out regular health and safety audits across multiple sites
  • Monitoring training matrix and ensuring managers are conducting training as required for compliance
  • Proactively promote a safety-first environment
  • Deliver training packages to colleagues
  • Conduct toolbox talks and assist with training briefs
  • Support site managers with accident investigation
  • Manage document control
  • Assist with ensuring warehouses are audit ready at all times
  • Audit against BRC standards
  • Administration tasks for HSSE and compliance
  • To undertake any other duties deemed commensurate with the role
  • Support health and safety committee by taking minutes and following up on actions
  • Engage and build open and honest professional and positive relationships with team members, fellow colleagues, peers and cross functional stakeholders
  • Other ad hoc duties as required
    • This search is not limited to any industry. Previous experience (minimum 2 years) within a fast moving, demanding warehouse or manufacturing environment is key to this recruitment:
  • Experience of auditing is required
  • BRC knowledge/experience is essential
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships is essential
  • IBOSH and NEBOSH training is desirable
