Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to partner with one of Yorkshire’s leading manufacturing businesses, in the home improvement sector SolarFrame, with a key hire and recruitment of a Group Operations Director.With a commitment to excellence and a strong focus on growth, we are looking for a strategic leader to oversee and optimise operations across multiple sites.As the Group Operations Director you will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, implementing best practices, and ensuring seamless coordination among various sites within the SolarFrame business.You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and deliver exceptional results. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on the organisation’s success.This Group Operations Director Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement strategies aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the operational road map.
  • Provide leadership and direction to operations teams across multiple sites.
  • Ensure consistency in processes, standards, and performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency measures.
  • Streamline operations to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Implement and maintain high quality standards across all operational activities.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high performing operations team c100 heads.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership along with suppliers and customers of the business.
Elevation Recruitment Group are keen to speak with individuals that have skills and demonstrable experience in the following areas:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management (master’s degree, highly desired)
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior operations role with multi-site responsibility
  • Hands-on experience gained from working within Building Products; Plastics; Automotive, highly regulated; Blue-chip or process driven manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Demonstrable skills in driving change; implementing process improvements and lean manufacturing methods.
  • You will be a strong leader with excellent communication skills.
  • A proven mentor, who leads from the front, maximising the potential of your team and the tools available.
  • Previous experience in leading a site move and or plant layout highly desired.
