Job Description

Exam InvigilatorFlexible hours (regular availability required)Salary; £10.43ph plus Holiday Pay & relevant mileageLocation; OffsiteTravel Nationwide (from RNN college site- Rotherham College, North Notts College, Dearne Valley College)About the roleWe are looking for an exam invigilator who will travel to different companies across the country to invigilate exams for apprentices in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to be able to access one of the group college sites to collect a laptopor exam papers prior to the examinations.The role of an exam invigilator is to conduct examination invigilation by ensuring guidelines/regulations are strictly adhered to for integrity of candidates and security of examination papers/ login details before, during and after an examination session.Duties include:

  • To check the correct examination papers/ login details are present.
  • To liaise directly with awarding bodies/ College IT department should issues arise during the exam.
  • To ensure that the right candidates attend and check photo identification.
  • To explain examination conditions to candidates before the start of the examination.
  • To control the examination environment and ensure a fair and calm process.
  • To ensure that examinations are kept to time.
  • To control access to the examination room.
You will need
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Be available to work daytime and/or evenings on a sessional basis.
  • Good IT skills - essential for downloading and uploading online tests.
  • Hold a Full Driving Licence and access to a car for travel to workplaces - essential in ensuring the security of Examination materials.
