Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working on behalf of Advanced Manufacturing Limited (AML) to recruit a Commercial Assistant for to be based at their Sheffield site.AML are a highly specialised components manufacturer and supplier, focussed on aerofoil and rotative components. They are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to providing an efficient and low-cost service to their customers acrossthe aerospace, defence, and energy sectors.The successful candidate will become part of an exciting and growing business with access to the company’s great benefits package, including 10% company pension contributions, 25-day holiday entitlement plus holiday exchange scheme, monthly company raffleand more.The opportunityTo Provide support to the business in relation to commercial administration, collating data and providing excellent administrative support, collaborating across different departments.The role:

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and sales teams to understand project requirements and scope
• Analyse project documentation to determine materials, labour and equipment needed
• Will work towards analysing technical drawings
• Research and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services
• Assist in the development of pricing strategies that align with market trends and company goals
• Participate in internal projects review meetings to discuss further
• Update and maintain commercial spreadsheets
• File any relevant documentations
• Answering calls and emails
• To promote effective communication between your functional area and other areas of the business
• Maintaining high levels of personal motivation and development, advising line manager of personal training requirements to enhance achievement of job role
• Post holder’s duties must be carried out in accordance with policies and procedures of AML (Advanced Manufacturing Limited)
• Perform any other duties which may be required within the role to meet the needs of the company.

The successful candidate

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or a related field ideal
• Prior experience or internships in estimating, engineering, or manufacturing is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret technical documentation
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints ideal
• Familiarity with precision engineering concepts and manufacturing processes
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in using spreadsheet software and other relevant tools for estimation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
