Job Description

Job Role: CNC OperativeLocation: RotherhamSalary: £12phMetalis are currently in partnership with a steel stockholder who, due to continuous growth, are looking to hire CNC Operatives on a 12-week temporary to permanent basis.Job Duties:

  • Operating machinery such as profile lasers, plasmas and drill machinery.
  • Operating Forklift trucks and cranes.
  • Pick generated orders with handling/lifting of heavy and large items.
  • Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
  • Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
  • Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers orders.
  • Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
Personal Requirements:
  • The successful candidate will have experience with profiling machinery or similar CNC experience.
  • Be logically and mechanically minded.
  • Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Ideally have operated Cranes, Fork-Lift, and Side-loader, however this is not essential.
  • Health & Safety awareness.
  • The successful candidate will have experience with bandsaws/similar machinery, or any CNC Profile cutting Plasma/Gas/laser.
Salary and Shifts:
  • £12ph for initial 3 months, salary progression after 3-month probationary period and training.
  • 3 shift patterns of Days, Afters and Nights.
  • Shift allowance.
  • 12 weeks temporary to permanent role.
