Job Description

Adept are excited to be working with a well established busy manufacturer based in Sheffield who specialise in subcontract work; supplying into Aerospace, Mining and Transportation industries.Our client are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector to join the team.The successful applicant must have experience in CMM inspection of machined parts.Whats on offer

  • £14 per hour on a day shift
  • 7am till 4pm Mon to Thurs, Fri 7am till 12 (39hrs).
  • 23 days holiday plus stats

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Proven experience in Quality Inspection of machined products
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Filling out required paperwork.
  • Complying with standards of safety, company policy, and legal regulations that apply to the product.
  • Communicating with the rest of the Quality Control (QC) department so they become aware of any defects in the product and how to repair them.
  • Communicating with the Quality Assurance (QA) department about how to prevent similar defects in the future.
  • Have a strong presence on within the production areas and carry out in process checks on a routine basis.
  • Reading engineering schematics and comparing them with the finished product
  • Using equipment like callipers, verniers, micrometres, and CMM
  • Be able to work alone as well as in a team.
The successful applicant must be able to programme a CMM machine.
