Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join a market-leading, Global industrial supply and engineering business managing Business Development activities across a wide range of industrial and manufacturing sectors.The role is home-based - The area covered by the role is the Midlands, Wales and the South West but as long as you are located in an area that allows you to travel to these areas and are happy to do so, the location is flexible.The role...

  • You will secure targeted new or competition business and to manage new customers through a transition to field / telephone-based account management.
  • Effectively collaborate with wider sales teams within the company in order to ensure the right person is on the right opportunity at the right time (creating value, delivering solutions to maximise the opportunity for company and the customer)
  • You will support and focus on relevant promotional campaigns
  • Gather market intelligence for the wider business
  • You will develop, build and maintain contacts at all levels within prospect customers
  • You will ensure maintenance of accurate customer records using Salesforce.com (dashboards, activities, account plans / opportunity records)
  • You will deliver against sales targets in support of the Regional Sales Incentive Scheme by focussing on sales pipeline development & delivery
  • Fully adopt company sales processes, and ensure use of correct systems and tools e.g. Salesforce, PC3, IMP etc
  • You will ensure adherence to best commercial practices e.g. pricing policy contract arrangements and competitive intelligence

  • You have the ability to develop strong working relationships both internally and externally with customers
  • Also, you have strong communication skills both oral and written (including presentation skills)
  • You have professional Sales & Negotiation Skills (Able to adopt a Consultative selling approach, utilising considered sales process)
  • You have ability to understand and consider both local company strategy & objectives, as well as competition activity
  • Furthermore, you have an understanding of the detailed product, competitor and customer knowledge required for success, (including technical concepts, and ability to work alongside internal technical personnel)
  • And finally, SAP knowledge, I.T. skills and Microsoft skills are required for this role
