Job Description

Our client, based in the Northwest are currently recruiting for an experienced QHSE Manager with a manufacturing background who can play a key role in their management team. The position is responsible for the company’s Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental functions; the role will also involve direct management within the department and ensuring best practice in procedures/processes.Key Areas of responsibility

  • Maintaining ISO and BRCGS standards of the Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental and IT management systems.
  • Providing documentation and relevant records for all compliance with the QHSE functions
  • Reporting to senior management, whilst also managing your team within QHSE
  • Managing and leading internal and external audits
    • The Person
  • Strong experience in Quality, H&S and Environmental management, within a manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Working knowledge of ISO and BRCGS standards (ISO9001, 14001 and 18001) having previously implemented and maintained these management systems.
  • An assertive individual with an analytical approach with attention to detail
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others using appropriate leadership styles.
  • Organisational and planning skills to manage your time and to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Written and spoken communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others.
  • Hands-on and a can-do attitude
    • Knowledge, Training and Experience required
  • Hold a NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Member of IOSH
  • Excellent IT skills, proficient with all Microsoft Office Packages
  • Full driving license
