Job Title: Pastoral Support WorkerLocation: HaslingdenCompany: Tradewind RecruitmentAre you a dedicated and passionate individual with experience in providing support to children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners Ifso, we have the perfect role for you!Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a motivated and empathetic Pastoral Support Worker to join a SEMH School within Haslingden.In this role, you will work 1-2-1 with a pupil, providing essential support and guidance to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Your experience in working with children from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 will be invaluable as youcontribute to their personal and academic development.Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong rapport and trust with the assigned pupil, creating a safe and supportive environment.
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans to address specific SEMH needs.
  • Provide emotional and social support, promoting positive behaviours and well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support.
  • Monitor and assess progress, adjusting support strategies as needed.
  • Help the pupil access the curriculum and engage in learning activities.
  • Encourage and empower the pupil to develop essential life skills.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 curriculum and educational strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young learners.
