Responsible to the Behaviour Manager, you will be an enthusiastic, flexible and determined individual who shares our values and is looking to developtheir career in this specialist area.Who we are looking forWhilst experience within an SEMH/SEN specialist provision would be desirable we will consider applications from those who are currently working in a mainstream school or other professional setting. Further training and development will be provided for thesuccessful candidate in line with the identified needs of the school, the skills of the individual and their prospective career progression.Key Accountabilities:

  • Support class groups and teaching staff in classroom environments
  • Provide individual pastoral and behavioural support to pupils
  • Manage class/behaviour room behaviours effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to pupils’ needs in order to motive them and to ensure a good and safe working environment
  • To support pupils emotional, social and behavioural wellbeing
  • Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of systems relating to attendance and integration.
  • Provide appropriate administration support e.g. phone calls; dealing with correspondence; completion of data/information on attendance and exclusions
  • To have professional integrity in relation to the overall function of the school, staff and pupils’ confidentiality.
Essential Criteria
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload under pressure
  • Experience of working with pupils and their families
  • Have Grade C/4 or above in GCSE Maths, Science and English
  • Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of pupils and young people
