One of the North Wests largest housing associations is currently recruiting for a Housing & Wellbeing Coordinator to work in their sheltered housing service in Rossendale, Lancashire, to offer customers in Later Life Services high quality housing services that support and promote independent lives.The RoleThe role of the Housing and Wellbeing Advisor is to offer customers in Later Life Services high quality housing services that support and promote independent lives, whilst ensuring high quality accommodation, appropriate and stimulating activities and safety at all times. You will actively engage with customers to promote independent living in a safe, secure and vibrant environment ensuring excellent communication at all times.This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:*Ensure new customers are welcomed and understand how the service operates.*Create an active and vibrant environment to reduce social isolation. *Work with the customer to develop a plan that identifies individual needs, ensuring this is updated at least monthly and at the point of change. *Actively encourage the use of the communal facilities for social activities for customers, involving older people in the local community where appropriate and possible. *Ensure a thorough assessment of needs and risks is carried out prior to allocation of property, including commitment for any care provision. *Full compliance with any escalation requirements relating to safeguarding matters, notifiable incidents or other relevant incidents. *Report any concerns regarding maintenance of buildings and fixtures and cleanliness of the scheme to the relevant person. *Responsible for ensuring all works are carried out on time and within the Groups policies and procedures with regard to Health and Safety. *Managing the tenancy throughout, including ensuring the payment of rent and service charges, repairs and maintenance and responding to customer enquiries. *Ensure void targets are met and properties are prepared for re-let as quickly as possible, escalating to senior management if delays are outside of agreed KPIs. *Understand the use of site systems and equipment, carry out appropriate checks and tests as required. *Respond accordingly to any initial instances of dissatisfaction or antisocial behaviour on site to help resolve matters before they escalate. *Market the scheme to prospective clients including carrying out viewings and completion of tenancy sign-up. *Manage relationships with on-site providers - Hairdresser, Catering, Care etc. through standard SLAs and regular meetingsThe CandidateTo be considered for this role, it is essential that you are experienced in providing a housing management service within a sheltered housing setting, as well as the following skills and experience:*Arrears and void monitoring.*Support planning and risk assessing.*Knowledge of the principles of safeguarding, support planning and risk assessing, including an understanding appropriate escalation routes for high risk matters and other relevant legislation.*Experience of working in a service delivery, customer focused environment.*Ability to respond to crisis situations effectively within required legislative and policy frameworks.*An understanding of a performance measurement approach against available data and KPI information.*A clear understanding of the need to inspire people to achieve outcomes and a supported self-development culture.*Proven experience of delivering successful outcomes when working with vulnerable people.*Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework.*An understanding of key financial data.The ContractThis is a part time role, working 30 hours per week on a 7-day rota.
