Job Description

Job Title: Extrusion OperativeLocation: HaslingdenSalary: £25,168 per year (£11.00 p/h) to £29,172 per year (£12.75 p/h)Job Type: Permanent, Full Time.Flexipol is BRC certificated and is an approved food packaging supplier to key manufacturers in the UK and internationally, such as those in the Marks and Spencer supply chain.The Company is now in its 28th year, and during this time the business has grown steadily each year, providing long term secure employment. The Company prides itself on its innovative approach to product design and manufacturing, along with an excellentreputation for high-quality customer service.We solve our customers toughest packaging challenges through our unique blend of technical collaboration, innovation and extraordinary service.The Role:The extrusion department consists of several blown film lines including mono, co-ext and barrier machines, and runs a variety of materials, blends, and products to meet customer requirements. The successful person will set up production equipment as effectivelyas possible and contribute to the shift, meeting demands in terms of production, waste, quality, housekeeping and health & safety.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Meet production targets and customer deadlines
  • Completes required production paperwork
  • Complete daily checks
  • Follow Safe Working Practices
  • Adhere to Health & Safety and environmental procedures and regulations
The Person:
  • Self-motivated, proactive and can work under pressure
  • A can-do attitude, able to overcome obstacles with a team approach
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Good practical skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours on a continental shift pattern working through days, nights, and weekends.
Knowledge, Training and Experience required:
  • Experienced extrusion machine operator competent in setting, problem-solving, output and performance
  • Ideally experience of operating mono and co-ext blown film machines
  • Health, safety and quality awareness
  • Excellent attendance and timekeeping
Shift Pattern:Continental 4-week pattern, working rotating days and nights (including weekends), hours from 07:00/19:00 to 19:00/07:00, average 38.5 hour week.Benefits:
