Job Description

Rossendale, Lancashire Design Engineer Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 (Dependant on Experience)Hours of work: 37 hours a week Monday to Thursday - 8:30am to 5pm, 30 mins lunch Friday - 8:30am to 2pmAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to join the team of a well established fabricating company in the Rossendale area. Successful candidates must be energetic, bright and have the ability to prioritisea busy workload, who will have a strong background in structural engineering, structural steelwork and a passion for design and development.Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Design primary and secondary frames using dedicated Tekla softwares.
  • Connection, Temporary Works, Cold Rolled, Purlins and Side Rail design using dedicated softwares.
  • Engineering and design development to achieve economical solutions.
  • Liaising with the drawing office for all design matters and attending meetings.
  • Production of estimate designs and material lists.
Skills and Experience Required by a Design Engineer:
  • Minimum of 10 years experience within a similar role.
  • Hold a Masters or Bachelors degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • Working experience with the Tekla software is essential.
  • Proficiency in Tekla softwares, IDEA Statica & Office 365.
  • Enthusiastic, committed & driven to achieve effective results and reach all targets.
