Job Description

This Credit Control position is an essential role within the Accounting & Finance department of a leading company in the Transport & Distribution industry, based in Haslingden. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the financial healthof the company through diligent management of financial liabilities.Client DetailsThis company is a reputable player in the Transport & Distribution industry with a sizeable workforce.   • Manage accounts receivable and liaise with clients to ensure payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Monitor client accounts for irregularities and take necessary action.
  • Prepare and present reports on the status of accounts to management.
  • Collaborate with the sales and client service departments to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure all financial data is up-to-date.
  • Assist with the month-end closing process.
  • Identify improvements to the credit control process and implement them.
  • Comply with all financial policies and regulations.
ProfileA successful Credit Control candidate should have:
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Thorough knowledge of credit-related laws.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
