Job Description

Our client, a Construction firm based in Rossendale, are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their bust accounts team.The duties of the role:

  • Responsibility for credit control and sales ledger duties, including invoicing and raising credit notes
  • Purchase ledger duties including statement reconciliations and dealing with supplier queries
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Cash flow control and forecasting
  • Stock control
  • VAT returns
  • Journal processing including accruals and prepayments
  • Other adhoc accounting duties to support the management accountant
To be considered for this role you need to have a minimum of 2 years experience of working within a varied accounting role. You need to be a strong Excel user and be fully conversant within Sage Line 50.
