Job Description

Our client is seeking to add a Bid Writer to their existing team based in Ross-on-Wye. The role will be to produce high quality proposals and bid documents to tender submission deadline.Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and edit sales submissions, to include proposals, formal bids and tenders, quotations, expression of interests, rough order of magnitudes and others as directed.
  • Produce accurate and on-time bid submissions that meet the client’s requirements, accurately reflect the overall intent and operational plan, and that are submission ready with minimal senior management input.
  • Quality control of bids and all accompanying documentation.
  • Ensure compliance of bids with industry regulations/requirements.
  • Daily tracking and monitoring of tender websites.
  • Maintain bid platform and client vendor registrations.
  • Maintain bid library and ensure accuracy of bid templates and project experience table to support tender submissions and vendor registrations.
  • Co-ordinate bid process with other departments to ensure accurate communication of internal deadlines, issuance of latest tender documents including clarifications and internal operational plan. In addition to communicating submission expectations eachdepartment is required to produce to meet the client’s requirements and maintaining regular check-ins with departments to monitor progress.
  • Coordinate all sales submissions in the absence of the Commercial Manager.
About You:
  • Degree level education or equivalent
  • Experience of working within a commercial environment
  • Have strong organisational & team co-ordination skills
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Have very good attention to detail
  • Be a persuasive writer
  • Be able to carry out research and analysis
  • Be able to take on a lot of technical and non-technical information and translate it into clear copy
Monday to Friday: Full Time.
