Assistant Hotel ManagerNear Winchester, Hampshire£23,000 to £26,000 depending on experienceThe Potters Heron is a beautiful thatched 53-bed hotel situated between Winchester and Southampton. Known for their love of hospitality and enthusiasm for warm, friendly service, they have the pleasure of hosting many weddings and other events throughout the year. Their guests are at the centre of everything they do.They are recruiting for a full-time Assistant Hotel Manager to join their busy, professional team.The offer:

You listen to customers when they tell you about their visit and you pass that insight along so it can be used to make us even better. You are a little obsessed with food & drink, what’s new, what goes with what, you know your products inside out, and upsell at every opportunity.You are business minded:When faced with words and phrases like; Margin, GP, Costings, EBITDA, ARR, spend per head, gross and nett you either know what they are and do everything you can to control them or they are a bit new to you and you can’t wait to find out how you can impact them in a positive way for the business.But what’s essential
  • You will be an experienced assistant manager or senior supervisor in a destination pub or bustling restaurant serving high quality fresh food.
  • You have some bedrooms experience, but food and drink has been your main focus.
  • You want to develop into an environment that does it all, events, accommodation and food.
  • You love being on your feet, in the thick of it with the customers.
  • You will need to be able to work weekends, evenings and Christmas.
  • The hotel is lucky enough to be in a beautiful area, but unfortunately that means you most likely need your own transport.
