Job Description

A leading independent accountancy practice are recruiting for an Accounts and Audit Manager.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Accountant who is seeking a professional environment, with a defined route to partnership. Good working location, coupled with parking, you cant really ask for more! You need to possess a full UK drivers licenceand have access to your own vehicle. Candidacy will be considered from newly qualified individuals to Senior Managers.To be considered for this role you need to be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA), specialising in Audit and Accounts. On a daily basis the Accounts and Audit Manager will be planning and carrying out audit fieldwork, statutory reporting and completion,along with general accounting compliance work. Preparing financial statements, ensuring they are compliant with relevant accounting standards, whilst on occasion training others. Accounts and Audit Manager Duties and responsibilities

  • Delivery of high quality audit and non-audit services, coordinating team members in delivery of same.
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102) and International Auditing.
  • Achieving department and individual performance objectives.
  • Managing administration of client, including budgets, WIP and timely billing.
  • Maintaining the highest technical and professional standards.
  • Thinking strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks.
  • Providing additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis.
  • Delivering results and managing client expectations.
  • Identifying ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value.
  • Monitoring and control staff working on the portfolio.
  • Supervising and coach, train and develop staff to develop their knowledge
  • A role model for department professionals.
  • Career progression through continuous professional development.
The Accounts and Audit Manager needs to demonstrate a working knowledge of automated accountancy packages, including; Sage, Xero and CCH products. You will liaise with clients exceptional communication skills are essential, with advanced IT skills and excellentproject management abilities.Candidacy will be considered from newly qualified individuals to Senior Managers.
