Job Description

Head of FinanceWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to oversee our finance department. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will provide valuable insights and commentary to the board, ensuring the successful and accurate operationof the finance function. Day to Day of the Role:

  • Manage the preparation of financial and management accounts for internal and external use, including variance analysis with commentary.
  • Prepare full balance sheet reconciliations monthly, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Oversee cashflow processes, liaise with banks on working capital facilities, and prepare payment runs for approval by the Finance Director.
  • Produce weekly and monthly operational performance reporting.
  • Develop reports for non-financial personnel.
  • Produce interim forecasts, the Annual Budget, and monitor controls associated with debt and creditors ledgers.
  • Complete ONS questionnaires and other statutory returns.
  • Develop the Finance Team and build effective professional relations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage day-to-day finance operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACCA) with an understanding of external audit requirements.
  • Proven experience in identifying cost efficiencies and potential savings.
  • Industry experience is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and manage the team effectively, including conducting 1-2-1s and annual reviews.
  • Confident and articulate with the ability to present to Senior Management and build strong relationships.
  • Organisational skills to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
  • Willingness to travel to other sites as required.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
