Job Description

Field Service Engineer with an electrical bias - required for my client based in Rochester, Kent. The successful field service engineer will join a team that install, maintain and service the companies specialist range of industrial food processing and packagingmachinery.Previous experience within food environment machinery is desirable, however, trainign will and can be provided to the successful engineer.Field Service Engineer Position Overview

  • Servicing and installing of our specialist range of industrial machinery like VFFS, HFFS, Multihead Weighers.
  • Fault Diagnosing and repair (electrical and mechanical).
  • Troubleshooting known and unknown issues related to breakdown.
  • Building and maintaining a strong relationship with clients.
  • Training machinery operators.
  • Maintaining a high level of health and safety at all times.
Field Service Engineer Position Requirements
  • A sound electrical knowledge ranging from safety circuits, low voltage relay logic and PLC control systems to high current power circuits including motors and heaters, as well as a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Direct experience with packaging equipment like VFFS, Weighers, Metal Detectors/Check Weighers.
  • A full and clean driving licence.
  • Based within a commutable distance of Rochester.
  • Although the candidate will be Rochester-based, regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland, with frequent overnight stays plus some overseas travel is a requirement of the position.
Field Service Engineer Position Remuneration
  • Salary - £25,000 to £42,000 - dependent upon, skills, experience and qualifications.
  • Full time position - Monday to Friday.
  • 25 days paid leave plus statutory holidays.
  • PPE + workplace pension + company vehicle and mobile phone included.
