Job Description

The Company:

The Role:
  • My client is looking for a Technical Support Engineer based from their office in Oldham.
  • You will be working for internal and external customers, delivering outstanding technical support for Industrial Automation systems and components.
  • The position is vacant after a retirement of someone who has been with the business for 42 years!
  • There is a strong element of customer interaction and occasional site visits, so someone who is uncomfortable talking to customers would not be right for this role.
  • Working in a team of 3Flexible working from home available.
  • £25k-£33k Basic, Laptop, Phone, Pension, Life assurance, Healthcare, Flexible Home Working.
The Ideal Person:
  • You will have technical qualifications in electrical/ Electro-Mechanical/ Electronic Engineering.
  • A strong interest in IoT and Industry 4.0
  • Ideally you will have a track record of customer support and not be afraid of picking up the phone.
  • The client will also look at engineers who have the right attitude to get into a commercial role, possibly even a graduate with strong technical skills.
  • Ideally you will know your way around a factory and what makes it work.
  • Able to read data sheets and use Profibus, Profinet.
  • You need to be hard working and want to succeed.
