Job Description

Our client, based in Greater Manchester, is currently recruiting for a Disrepair Surveyor on a temporarycontract for six weeks, with a potential to last up to six months. Our client is proud to provide quality Social Housing within Greater Manchester, and are looking to add to their growing team.The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.The ideal candidate will have experience working within Social Housing and hold a Full, UK Drivers’ license.Duties will include (but not limited to):* Undertake quality inspections of compliance repairs, post inspections to ensure works are completed within the specified timescales to the quality required and value for money* Identifying preventative repairs and maintenance to maintain the clients’ assets and ensuring that the Customers home is respected at all times* Diagnose sources of mould and condensation and work on claims for disrepair* Create reports following surveys* Design specifications of work following surveys for remedial works to be completed * Utilise in house schedule of rates for specifications of work* Liaise with legal teams for report writing* Liaise with tenants to provide updates on ongoing worksExperience required:• Social Housing experienceWorking hours:• 36.25 hours per week• Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (Flexible hours on offer)Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.KEYWORDS: Disrepair; Social Housing; MaintenanceAt James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
