Buyer - PackagingSalary: £28000 - £32000Location: OldhamWe currently have a very exciting opportunity for a Packaging Buyer within an established, and growing FMCG company. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a large company at the forefront of the operation.The ideal candidate will have:* Experience of using SAP MRP system, product creation, Purchase Ordering, scheduling, maintaining integrity of SAP data with an understanding of forecast changes/amendments & impact on raw material stock availability.* Experience of supplier evaluation, selection and Contract price negotiation.* An understanding of flexographic and litho print processes.* Experience in the purchase of Flexographic printed packaging films/generation of Line Drawings.* An understanding of the specifications of corrugated cartons, carton board cartons, FSDUS/POS and of using pallet configuration software.* Understanding of the Packaging Waste Regulations and experience of processing packaging waste documents on behalf of customers.* Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.* Hardworking and reliable.* Enthusiastic and resilient.Skills, experience and person specification* Experience of using SAP MRP system, product creation, Purchase Ordering, scheduling, maintaining integrity of SAP data.* Interpreting forecast changes/amendments and impact on raw material stock availabilityaddressing stock/Invoice queries.* Experience of supplier evaluation, selection and contract price negotiation.* Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.* IT literate.* Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.* Hardworking, reliable, enthusiastic and resilient.The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the overall business objectives and requirements.Acorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
