  • Full time, permanent
  • 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday; 8am – 1:00pm on Fridays
  • £24,500 per annum

Key tasks of the AR ClerkThe main purpose of the job role is to provide a professional finance service to the business in support of the daily activities and deliverables within the finance department.Your day-to-day responsibilities are likely to include the following:
  • Efficient processing and reconciliation of customer invoices and payments received.
  • Dealing with day-to-day customer enquiries of a financial nature.
  • Supporting internal customers with invoicing and payments as well as system use.
  • Taking responsibility for the credit control lifecycle and monitoring of activity from invoicing through to receipt of payment.
  • Debt chasing with the objective of reducing the aged debtors.
  • Consideration to be taken in the event of late payments:
  • Providing regular customer statements.
  • Managing customer portals, ensuring reconciliation with internal records.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts
  • Providing support with internal and external audit work
  • General ledger analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
Knowledge, skills & experience required:We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role, with experience or exposure to the following areas:
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
  • Data entry skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (we would be particularly interested in people who have experience with Epicor)
