Job Description

This is predominantly an office-based role working only Monday to Friday, though you will be expected to visit clients and attend project sites from time to time. You will play a pivotal role in developing new and existing customer relationships, be responsiblefor providing quotations for UK and overseas projects and progressing these opportunities through to the installation stage on site. The main responsibilities include the pricing and management of Installation projects for the materials handling and conveyorand robotic handling systems into the warehousing, distribution, production, travel and energy sectors.Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

  • You will be the first point of contact for new business and current clients.
  • The candidate will be responsible for sourcing new clients and building relationships with them.
  • You will develop opportunities with certain market sectors to pursue.
  • You will gain the knowledge to assist clients with any problems they are facing.
  • You will liaise with clients on new and ongoing projects and attend site meetings,
  • You will price new enquires and set up project packages for new projects.
  • You will liaise with colleagues across the organisation to programme in work through planning, mobilisation and installation ensuring high levels of quality and service are achieved at all times.
Sales Engineer Requirements:
  • Must have a mechanical, electrical or process engineering background.
  • Ideally hold a HNC or HND qualification minimum or equivalent experience.
  • The successful candidate must have a strong engineering / technical background.
  • A proven track record with sales or experience in customer facing roles.
  • Experience in pricing and providing quotations and documentation packs.
  • Relevant materials handling and automation sector experience would be beneficial.
  • Be organised, results driven with a Go Getting attitude and can multitask.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentations skills.
  • IT Literate, knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Previous experience with CRM systems would be advantageous.
