Job Description

Office AdministratorJob Type: Full Time, PermanentSalary: £24,000 per Annum Dependant on ExperienceLocation: Risley, Derby, DE72 3SS Salary: Competitive + Benefits PackageThis is an fantastic opportunity to join Quadrant Building Control, one of the UKs leading independent building control companies, and become part of a friendly, supportive team. We are an established company with 16 offices acrossthe UK, with an excellent reputation as an employer. The PositionYou will be responsible for assisting the Office Manager in the efficient, smooth running of our operations and will provide outstanding business support to the Building Control Team.Responsibilities will include:

  • Issuing relevant notices to Local Authorities
  • Issuing consultation documents to relevant public bodies
  • Preparing typed reports, letters and other documentation
  • Organising meetings, arranging transport, etc, as necessary
  • Routinely filing correspondence, etc, on Companys bespoke database
  • Answering and appropriately welcoming telephone callers and visitors in a courteous and efficient manner to help foster a positive image of the Company and build customer relationships
  • Taking an accurate record of messages and re-directing these to the most appropriate person as soon as practically possible
  • Preparing outgoing post for collection or delivery to post office by others. Date stamping and distribution of incoming post
  • General administrative duties including photocopying, faxing and filing of documents
  • Taking telephone card payments and dealing with general day to day cash and cheque payments; liaising with and assist the Account Team as necessary
The PersonYou will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced Office Administrator with the ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision within a team. You must be IT literate and have excellent communication and organisational skills. Abackground in building control/construction would be advantageous, however applicants are invited from other industries. We have 16 offices nationwide with more scheduled to open over the next 12 months.   • A highly competitive salary (negotiable and dependent upon experience)
  • 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) - pro rata for part time staff
