Job Description

About The RoleMorrison Energy Servicesis currently looking to recruitaPlanner/Schedulerto work on ourSP Energy Networks contractinBellshill, Scotland. As thePlanner/Scheduleryou will be part of our back-office operations teamwho provide a planning function for a major energy provider, delivering effective capacity planning / quota services to support delivery of the contract Strategy andkey objectives.This contract is responsible for the delivery of the Scottish Power Framework Contract throughout Ayrshire, Central & Fife, Dumfries, Edinburgh, Borders, Lanarkshire, and Dumfries. Our objective is to manage and deliver a safe and quality service to SP EnergyNetwork and to develop a relationship which enables sustained growth within this key client.Duties & responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Planning and coordinating planned and reactive works within assigned region.
  • Liaise with Front Line Manager (FLM) to ensure resource / quota is available internally when required to meet the forecast volume demands.
  • Identify and summarise capacity planning / quota clashes and interfaces that require resolution.
  • Raise planned works on internal system following receipt of works orders from the client.
  • Creation of jobs packs for the site teams including accessing systems for utility drawings.
  • Creation of as laid templates for data collectors following completion of initial works.
  • Liaise with Traffic Management companies for planned and reactive work requirements.
  • Attended external and internal meetings in relation to works.
  • Ensure adherence to client’s procedures and best operating practice.
  • Develop and maintain strong, supportive, and positive relationships with client representatives.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements (desirable)
  • Experience in a planning & scheduling within operational role.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including numerical skills and have the flexibility to work efficiently, both as part of a team, and individually.
  • Highly Developed personal organisation skills encompassing a high degree of accuracy and good attention to detail.
  • Drive, enthusiasm, and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Full training will be given however experience working within Utilities, Civil Engineering or Construction would be advantageous.
  • Computer literate.
