He has a learning disability and a complex history and will require support in developing and understanding his emotions, developing effective ways to communicate his needs, developing empathy for the needs of others, understanding relationships and learning about and understanding his health needs.This is a challenging and demanding role that requires you to draw on your compassion, resilience and a non-judgemental attitude. You will need a sound understanding of risk management and the ability to maintain appropriate structures and boundaries.We recruit based on values so whilst previous experience is always welcome, it’s certainly not essential as full specialist training and support will be provided. We just need to come with an open mind, shared values and an eagerness to learn.The shifts can vary but are usually 8am one day until 8am the following day with a sleep in shift included. Waking nights shifts are also required, usually 10pm - 7am.
