Job Description

We are looking for immediate autism or SEN experienced Teaching Assistants for a newly opened special school in Twickenham.Due to both expanding their secondary department this term and taking on new students within the school next term they are appointing full-time staff who are looking for long term and potentially permanent positions.Having experience supporting autism, speech and language and/or learning difficulties 1:1 or in small groups is essential due to the varying needs of their pupils.The school is in the London Borough of Richmond and is part of an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ Academy Trust with two other local special schools in the borough.What they will offer:

  • What will be expected of you:
  • Experience supporting children with autism, speech and language and/or learning disabilities
  • Confidence supporting children academically and managing challenging behaviours associated with autism
  • Collaboration in class through supporting both the class teacher and other SEN TAs in class
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development within the school
  • Full-time availability Monday to Friday 8:30-4:00
  • Willingness to take vaccination for CV19 and on-site lateral flow tests
