SofaSofa is a leading UK manufacturer of sofas and chairs with four factories located in the South Wales Valleys, selling direct to the public via our website, brochure and factory showrooms. We are a private family business and we have been trading for over 30 years. we are proud of our very high level of staff retention with the majority of our current 200 staff having been with us for over 15 years.Our business is growing and we require extra delivery teams to increase our delivery capacity. We are looking for drivers with a C1 licence and preferably a CPC qualification to operate a 7.5 ton delivery vehicle delivering direct from our factory in Rhymney South Wales to our customers throughout the UK Mainland. Consideration will be given to training and funding candidates without a CPC qualification if they are otherwise suitable.Successful candidates will form part of a two man delivery team who will be required to deliver sofas and chairs into residential addresses throughout the UK with great care.As the majority of our customers purchase online without visiting us, our delivery teams are the first representatives of SofaSofa that our customers meet face to face. As such, our delivery teams are our ambassadors and must present a smart, professional, polite, friendly and helpful attitude to our customers.Due to the distances involved delivering across the UK, our delivery teams are required to spend at least two nights a week out on a delivery run and rest overnight in their two bunk sleeper cab. Night out allowance is provided.Delivering sofas and chairs is a strenuous job so our delivery teams must be fit and able to carry heavy sofas and chairs. Required skills
