Welder / Fabricators - Automotive - Worksop, Nottinghamshire£16.00 per hour + Overtime + Bike to work scheme + 33 days holiday + Health plans + Enhanced PensionMonday to Thursday - Days - 6am - 4.30pm Overtime available on FridaysThe opportunity:An exciting opportunity to join an automotive manufacturer whose roots date back for over 150 years in Worksop and become part of their expanding Automotive Manufacturing team. All roles are Temp t Perm but for the right candidates; direct Perm contracts are available.Job description:Reporting to the Shift Manager, your role will be Welder & Fabricate within a busy automotive manufacturing department. You will need to ensure outputs are achieved inline with correct build times and to the correct standard of quality in line ISO 9001.Main duties and responsibilities:Your routine duties may vary, but will be expected to:* Setting up various components for the welding process as per specifications. * Determining the correct equipment to use and method based on the requirements. * Reading drawings and blueprints and taking detailed measurements to plan the project layout. * Raise awareness of quality issues and promote a proactive approach to team / quality initiatives * Assist senior production team members in the planning of workloads as requiredSkills and experience:* Previous experience of MIG Welding & Fabrication process - 2 years - Desired* Previous manufacturing / automotive experience - Essential * Show a "Can Do" attitude and willingness to learn and take on new tasks as requested* Ability to read technical drawings and recognise various welding symbols * City & Guilds NVQ Diploma in Fabrication and Welding Engineering qualification or equivalent - EssentialSearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
