Job Description

Our highly respected Higher Education client requires a Receptionist/Catering Assistant on a temporary basis. This role is based in Inchinnan and has an hourly pay rate of £9.90 per hour. Working Hours are 8.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday however someflexibility is required (35 hours per week).Main purpose of the Role:To provide catering and reception support to the site. This requires to be delivered in a professional manner, whilst demonstrating excellent customer service and organisationalskills.Main Activities/Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consistent standards of quality, service and presentation in accordance with Departmental procedures
  • To consistently deliver a high standard of customer care
  • To assist with the dispensing of pre-prepared lunches and preparation of hot and cold beverages using tea prep facilities
  • To observe and follow as trained and instructed, NMIS procedures, with particular regard to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene etc
  • Maintain a clean area for the preparation of beverages and handling of food items following Food Safety standards, completing and inputting to required documentation
  • Assist the team with the setup of lunches and beverages for meetings/events, ensuring sufficient stock levels are available
  • Undertake periodic physical stock checks as required
  • To maintain own personal hygiene and professional appearance, including the wearing of agreed NMIS t-shirt at all times
  • To work and liaise effectively with NMIS colleagues, contributing to a professional work environment and NMISs
  • On occasion cover reception duties for short periods of time to support the team, signing in visitors and issuing safety information cards where required
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Passes at Standard Grade or equivalent
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate desirable
  • Experience of making and delivering beverages for small to medium groups
  • Experience of dealing with a variety of customers in a culturally diverse environment
  • Ability to work within a team and unsupervised as required
  • Working knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • High standards of personal hygiene.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Courteous and pleasant manner
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure at peak times
