Job Description

Jenson Fisher are delighted to be engaged by a highly reputable public sector organisation based in Renfrew to recruit a Part Qualified Accountant, on a full-time permanent basis. This role will involve preparing and creating and maintaining purchaserequisitions across the company and be the link to accounts payable and accounting to ensure the correct accounting treatment of costs. Hybrid working will be offered with this post, as well as an excellent benefits package.The main duties:

  • Raise Purchase requisitionsin compliance to internal controls and country specific controls
  • Liaise with the business/cost centre owners to ensure the accurate preparation of Purchase Requisitions/Purchase orders
  • Liaise with the business/cost centre owners to ensure the timeliness of goods receipt
  • Assess P2P accrual engine postings to ensure correct cost treatment
  • Prepare and post monthly journals including accruals, deferrals and prepayments
  • Provide financial reports to Business Partners
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
  • Liaise closely with accounts payable and accounting teams across the Group t
  • Ad hoc projects as required
The main requirements:
  • Strong month end and reporting experience
  • AAT/CIMA/ACCA Part Qualification would be preferred
  • Highly proficient Excel skills
  • High level of organisation skills
  • Able to prioritise effectively
  • Confident in dealing with colleagues throughout the organisation
  • SAP experience would be an advantage
