Dear ApplicantMy name is Josh and I am working from the fastest growing education employment agency, Aspire People. We are recruiting an nurturing Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in the quaint village of Rubery, Birmingham. Located by stunning scenery and amenities. The role is working alongside a charming child who has Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The child requires a nurturing male or female TA to help with classroom assistance, supervision, PPA and reading assistance. The child is said to be very advancedwhen it comes to Numeracy, Science and IT. So some lessons will be classroom based. However, reading and social development requires some additional supports and will require 1:1 sessions alongside the SENco, PPA Intervention teacher and Management when required.So the ideal candidate will be experienced in the following:1. Working with children with SEMH needs2. PPA experience 3. Key Stage 2 experience 4. Key Stage 1 experience 5. Be consistent - The child does cope with changeThe role:AM: The child arrives at school 8.45am - traditionally later than other children due to fragile stature. You will need to observe the morning classes alongside the class teacher, ensure all resources such as white boards, faint lined paper, coloured paper andtimetable is prepared. You will then be required to brief the childs schedule on that particular day, prior to class beginning. This will include subject breakdown, learning objectives and ask if there is anything you can do to help. Lunch: At lunch the child prefers not to go outdoors so will require supervision, then you will assist the child to PPA cover. PM: Lunch 40 mins - Then 1:1 session for final 2 hours 1:1 tutoring with literacy, work is planned and taught by the SENco and Intervention teacher, you will then need to re-cap on the lesson after 15 minutes of sensory play.Aspire People look forward to hearing from you.
