Job Description

Bid Finance AnalystHybrid Working - 2/3 days on siteBenefits include: Free food & beverage in the workplace andfree parking.We have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Finance Analystto join our team in our Business & Industry sector at Compass Group UK & Ireland based at our head office in Birmingham.You will be responsible for supporting the UK&I net growth delivery through constructing commercial models to be submitted as part of bid proposals. You will work alongside the sales team and subject matter experts to develop accurate and compelling financialproposals. The role will also include lookingfor continuous improvement and sharing of best practice in the approach taken to commercial modelling. More about the role:Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Estimating, reviewing, and challenging bid requirements, reviewing risks and opportunities, and undertaking modelling, costing, pricing, as appropriate.
  • To proactively provide options and scenario planning analysis to ensure a healthy balance between attractive client proposals and a sustainable financial position for the business.
  • Take responsibility for the management and accurate population of financial sign off documentation and financial submissions.
  • Attending meetings, provide reports and liaise with all stakeholders on commercial analysis matters.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Assess and improve key benchmark data to justify the commercial viability of bids at the outset of the strategy planning phase and to facilitate the executive sign off phase at the end of the bidding cycle.
  • A requirement to be client facing at presentations and site visits.
Who you are:Essential
  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with varied experience in accounting roles
  • Commercial awareness and capability including ability to understand scenario planning.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience of business partnering non-finance professionals
  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Disciplined with a strong orientation towards processes and procedures.
  • Ability to manage own workload and time.
  • Confidence to challenge senior management where appropriate.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deliver in agreed timescales
