Job Description

Redhill and across service area£18,000 to £24,000 per annumWould you like to join a utility company that offers full training and support to start an amazing career in the water industry Do you have a full clean driving licenseAs a Trainee Leakage Detection Technician youll be trained to find water leaks on the underground water network within the SES Water supply area. Youll be working 37 hours per week (2 weeks on days and 1 week on nights on a rolling basis).Within your role youll:

  • Complete details surveys to identify the type and location of water leakage within our supply area
  • Learn to use specific acoustic listening devices
  • Deploy data loggers and learn to follow up on results using various leak detection techniques
  • Assist repair gangs to pinpoint excavations
  • Work alongside experienced leakage field teams to learn the industry
  • Assist with timely and accurate completion of all paperwork (Survey forms, leak details, timesheets etc)
About You:Naturally inquisitive, you dont stop until you get to the answer. Youll need to be ready to learn and able to engage with more experienced detection technicians to take on their knowledge.
  • Youll need basic computer skills as you will be uploading data onto a laptop or table device
  • Its also essential that you hold a full valid driving license as you will need to drive for the role.
  • Willingness to learn - full training will be provided
The role could suit candidates with the following previous experience: Ex-forces, experience in manual or outdoor working roles, drivers (multi-drop, meter readers, delivery drivers)What We Offer: For your financial wellbeing:
