Job Description

Credit Risk Manager - Portfolio - Dealer Stocking Finance / Motor Finance / Asset Finance / Wholesale FinanceSurrey (hybrid - three days a week in the office)c.£50,000 to £60,000 per annum plus bonus and benefitsOur client is emerging as one of the leading providers of motor dealer stocking / wholesale finance facilities and a subsidiary of a global investment management business.As it continues to expand it needs to recruit an experienced credit risk professional to take responsibility of the in-life credit risk of the stock finance portfolio, maintaining the quality and quantity of business written and to ensure that it remainswithin credit policy guidelines and processes.Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing dealer stock audit reports to maintain the integrity of the finance facility and instruct remedial action where necessary.
  • Ongoing monitoring of the dealers performance to ensure compliance.
  • Ensuring that credit reviews are undertaken regularly, in accordance with credit policy and within pre-agreed SLAs.
  • Using data feeds to monitor the portfolio and identify early warning signs of stress and then taking appropriate action.
  • Collaborating with the collections team in relation to distress management.
  • Establishing relationships with external and internal key stakeholders including audit suppliers, IT, sales, operations, collections and accounting.
  • Ongoing review and refining of credit policy.
Candidate profile:
  • Experienced in credit risk portfolio management gained in asset finance, leasing, business lending, commercial banking and / or motor dealer stock finance.
  • Experience in distress management and specialised relationship management.
  • Credit risk analytics experience, comfortable with utilising different data sources to identify early warning signs of stress.
  • Experience in collections management and repossessions activity would be an advantage.
