Job Description

Project Portfolio ManagerReporting to theSenior Project ManagerBased in: Based in WiltonSalary: Negotiable - Whilst all salaries are graded, Sembcorp are keen to attract, retain and develop the highest calibre of colleague. The company also offer a market leading benefits package and annual bonus.Position overview:The Project Portfolio Manager is to support the Senior Project Manager with the management of the project team to develop projects from concept through to execution, and commissioning. The role holder will be responsible for the successful delivery of eachproject ensuring all are completed on time, within budget and to a high standard in a safe manner.Key responsibilities

  • Positively encourage a culture of safety first.
  • Maintain a proactive and positive team ethos.
  • Be commercially aware and adhere to commercial governance in all activities.
  • Manage risks to avoid delays or reputational damage.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
  • Ensure that contractors provide accurate drawings as part of a build review and acceptance.
  • Report progress including risk and mitigations on a monthly basis.
Essential
  • Experience in a managing project engineering and execution teams
  • Experience in power/utilities industries would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Budget management skills and experience.
  • People management skills and experience.
  • In depth knowledge and experience in development of project execution and contracting strategy of small to very large projects.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles.
  • Strong understanding of Project management principles
  • Possess organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams with shifting deadlines.
  • Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
  • A full driving licence is required and a right to work in the UK is essential.
Desirable
  • Engineering or Project Management Qualification
