Job Description

Principal Technical Safety EngineerCirca £90,000 + Benefits PackagePermanent UK WideMy client is a leader in the industrial solutions market and operates in over 60 countries worldwide. Due to continuous, exponential growth they are looking for an experienced Principal TSE Engineer to lead the technical safety engineering across a numberof key projects, covering FEED and EPC work.Role Overview:

  • Responsible for delivery of all Technical Safety project activities and deliverables within budget and schedule.
  • Over 10 years general engineering experience with at good experience in the Process & Energy business sector.
  • Lead formal process safety assessments such as HAZID/HAZOP etc.
  • Carry out qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including Fire and Explosion Risk Assessments (FERA) and implement recommendations including, classified hazardous areas F&G detection, fire protection (active & passive) etc.
  • Support projects on regulatory requirements including COMAH/DSEAR/PSR/CDM.
  • Produce and review specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations; ensuring that they conform to engineering quality, competence, and project management systems
  • Develop safety engineering philosophies, design HSE plans, safety specifications, equipment specifications and monitor project/contractor/vendor compliance to these.
  • Attend client meetings and communicate with other engineers as required.
