Performance EngineerReporting to the Process Engineering ManagerBased in: Based in WiltonSalary: Negotiable - Whilst all salaries are graded, Sembcorp are keen to attract, retain and develop the highest calibre of colleague. The company also offer a market leading benefits package and annual bonus.Position overview:To initiate, develop and deliver key performance improvements to the order of £200K in Sembcorp UK. Through thorough monitoring of plant performance and working within the business units to deliver.Key responsibilities:Contribute to the development of business strategy by providing technical proposals and plans for improvement in asset performance and compliance with business permits and consents.Originate and deliver project and lead major studies into the improvement of Utilities operations and compliance through improved use of technology and control.Review and monitor key performance indicators within the Utilities business and advise operations management on achievement and improvement of these indicators.Contribute to the preparation of the Utilities budget with particular emphasis on the variable costs elements.Establish, direct and motivate multi-functional project teams to deliver improvements.Provide technical support and expertise to the business including delivery of key communications and training packages to the operations and maintenance teams.Monitor product quality and liaise with customers on specification issues, leading investigations where necessary.Maintain awareness and evaluate the impact of technological advances and future trends in order to better advise the business on improvement opportunities.Represent the company as a technical expert in discussions with external organisations including suppliers, potential new customers, existing customers etc.Provide commissioning support and leadership for newly installed items of equipment and ensure satisfactory performance ahead of take over by the Operations Team.Monitor and control the variable costs budget for the assets on behalf of the Operations Team highlight areas of substandard performance.EssentialScience of Engineering Degree.Strong analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking.Wide experience of process plant operations and maintenance.Excellent communications skills to present to key stakeholders, major customers and suppliers, external agencies and the shop floor.Good commercial awareness and understanding of fixed and variable costs.Problem solving at team levelProject managementGood influencing skillsStrong results orientationHigh concern for standards.Good IT skillsGood understanding of Sembcorp UK operations and management procedures.Good report writing, communication and meeting skills.Desirable Management QualificationFor more information on this opportunity please contact at retained recruitment partner Adam Pearson at Imperial Recruitment Group.
