Also, the company offer a market leading benefits packageand annual bonus.Position overview:The Lead Operations Technician will be the primary link between the Shift Teams, Shift Manager, Day Work Control, Maintenance and Engineering teams.The role is predominantly an operational position, it requires in depth knowledge of permit to work and safe system of work management.Key responsibilities:The Lead Operations Technicians duties will include but not limited to the below:Capability to stand in for the Shift Management or level 1, 2 or 3 operating technicians rolesIn conjunction with shift manager optimally run ALL Utilities plant safely and efficiently.Work Control Permit preparation / IssueConfined space entry permit preparation / issueHot work permit preparation / IssueInterplant Isolation Certificate preparation and issuePlant knowledge across the Wilton Power and Utilities businessDesign and verification of isolation strategies that align with SIRPE standards as an Isolation Authority.Lead Shift Operations commissioning and de-commissioning tasks.Lead, coach and develop the shift team membersManagement of simultaneous operations and sequenced workPlan attainmentSupport process safety initiatives including Safe operating committees, HAZOP/ HAZIDSRoot cause analysisIncident reporting responsibilitiesInternal auditingSite customer interfaceIncident ControllingDocumentation coordination and record keeping.Training coordination.Purchase requisition raising and tracking.Standard operation procedure review coordination.Outage Operations SupportEssentialIndustrial experience of safe systems of works in Petrochemical, Chemical or Power generation.Permit experience in:Management of Hot worksManaging contractorsExcavationsConfined space entry managementGeneral permit to workDetailed understanding of CMMS systemsExperience of Microsoft packagesMicrosoft outlookAtmospheric sampling experienceAtmospheric Air monitoring equipmentCompetence in purging activitiesWorking knowledge of SHE, Management, and Operational ProceduresPeople management.
