Job Description

Instruments Maintenance Technician(Fixed Term 12 Months potentially lead to a permanent role)Reporting to the Mechanical SupervisorBasedin: Teesside (Redcar)Salary: Negotiable - Whilst all salaries are graded, Sembcorp are keen to attract, retain and develop the highest calibre of colleague. The company offer a market leading benefits package and annual bonus.Position overview:This roleReporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and working as part of the mechanicalteam based at Castleton Court you will be tasked with completing Planned Maintenance andUnplanned Maintenance work, you will be expected to carry out work in a safe and controlledmanner. You will be responsible for signing off completed work within SAPKey responsibilities:Proactively complete planned preventative maintenance activities as per maintenanceProvide daily updates to Team Leader on status of maintenance activities.Lead reactive breakdown diagnosis to repair.Communication daily with supervisor/team/operations.Have a positive attitude to work.Stand-in for maintenance supervisor if required.Proactive approach to monitor, advise, take ownership and action on critical path items toimprove plant availability/reliability.Competent individual to create Risk assessments and Method statements.Ensure compliance with Sembcorp management procedures and Safe operatingLead on project tasks as requested, including installation and commissioning of new equipment, machine modifications, and on-site improvement.Essential:A time served recognised apprenticeship in a Mechanical disciplineAdhering to Safe operation procedures and management procedures.Experience of working with SAPFull UK driving licenceIT. skillsExcellent communication skills by various mediums.Manage contractors on all scales of maintenance activities as required.Sharing Knowledge.Keen to work out of normal day hours and weekend work when required.Experience in creating risk assessments and method statementsBasic Leadership QualitiesCredibility with peers, operations, Engineering team and contractorsProactive with a high level of self-motivationAbility to work to a strict deadlineGood problem-solving skillsProblem solving skillsConcern for impact.
